Is this kind of like, don't feed the animals they bite? Chee was not posting just to get peoples goat and have a little fun. Most forums ban a troll almost immediately. However if the ACF management wants to look on all this as a little innocent kidding then so be it. I can have good ol' time at that myself. lol
t's looking like it's being pushed into becoming
A forum for ACF supporters, with a dash of Checkers discussion
This saddens me. Of all things, that is not what I or others have said or wanted.

Wayne,
I have great respect for you, and your values....and, I also feel we can differ on our interpretations of things.
I do, indeed, believe Chee is just trolling, and using his differing opinion as the springboard. The insults rose to another level once he realized he had a "bite".....I don't know if the ACF management does look on this as "innocent kidding", although I seriously doubt it. Alan had posted before , during some of the other instances of trolling here on the ACForum, that he wants it to stop.....
It will not stop in an open forum...never. If the ACF decides to "close" the ACForum and set more stringent rules , they can do so,so be it.....until then, it (trolling) will not stop.
What MUST change is the way fellow Forumites respond to it....as I wrote, accept it, laugh along with it, overlook it......but, don't fight it. Fighting trolling feeds it.
If you want it to stop, ignore it.
With that, I will close my contributions to any subject matter pertaining to forum trolling......

Jay,

sorry about the quote thing. I must have hit the wrong name or quote.

Yes, I understand the trolling as I too am a member of several forums. A well moderated forum, keeps it under control by just banning the trolls.

This is an ACF forum, and should at the least, not be a place to bash the ACF or its members. Disagree with ACF policies, well sure, but openly try and want its destruction (read some threads at OCF) is another thing.

As far as allowing the troll in , kinda reminds me of the story about the Elephant in the living room.
All is fine till he unloads yesterdays groceries on the living room carpet, then you say, "who let that stinkin' elephant in here". :)

Best Regards and sorry on the quote name,

a red herring

The trolling (idea) is a hiding place for you now.

You were not trying to work up competition in Kurnick with your original posting.

You are seeking cover now

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

We are only here to promote OCF??? is that why I have worked tirelessly to try and promote the ACF to online players??? Is this why I have been getting ACF ratings calculated and suggesting ideas to make ACF better???

Chee's purpose is not to promote OCF over ACF you close minded idiot. We been trying to get online players to come play at tournaments and offline players to come play online. Why couldn't everyone work together to make checkers bigger and better? Instead morons like yourself have to make everything a fight. We may be rude online to one another to tease for fun, but we are all friends and get along GREAT unlike people here.

You have attacked my friends and myself personally as well as trying to demean our online attempt to make checkers better. I am hereby resigning myself as a member of the ACF and suspending ratings indefinitely (I am not going to support an organization that does not support mine). I am sorry it had to come to this but I am not going to waste anymore time with your organization based on how it is and what I see it becoming (especially if Acker and Gober take over). This will make a lot of ACF members happy and be a lot less work for myself so it is a win win.

P.S. The reason many players don't go to tournaments offline is because they consider the ACF to be a joke and I am tired of trying to defend you guys.
Mate all you have ever done is promote yourself.... you cackle more than a chicken that has laid an egg every time you do anything. Your website is a great resource but you put games played by Tinsley, Moiseyev, King, Ryan ... next to ipr0itmaster , and Isdbrutality ..... WHAT A DAMN JOKE !!!!! by doing that you have lessened its efficiency. if you have been trying to get online players to attend it doesn't show... as far as the ratings goes, you think you are the only person in the world with a computer??? yes i know everyone before was too lazy to do it .
they consider the ACF to be a joke and checkers to be a joke.... so why should you bother Eric?? to achieve sainthood.??there's no more medals out here mate, there's no ribbons. dont waste your time with those people they are riff-raff and not the future of the ACF.

Jay .... i never asked for anyone to be banned but for their crap to be sent to the broken boards section.... is this too much??? isn't this a good solution???

and innocent is NOT how i would describe it....
and sorry to tell you but you guys have been ignoring it ever since this forum started ....
how well has that tactic worked in the past???
cheers
