Ray should definitely attend that tournamnet. It includes Alex and Ron King I believe along with other well known masters/grandmasters. I will be there as well in the masters. Considering Ray played Alex well in that meet up between them you talked about, I am sure he can play masters. Rumor has it that Ron King may come to kurnik to play some games. But that is what someone told me, not sure if its true or not.

It would be too ambitious to consider Ron King comes from Barbados and play in OH State. One time he did it in 2008 just couple days before he played his GAYP World Title Match with Lubabalo Kondlo, but it was just a nice combination of very special circumstancies.

I am very glad to hear that Ray is coming and ... yes, indeed he will play in Master Division, because unfortunately in the past couple years we had one Division only  I hope we can collect 12-14 players this year and play one nice Division.

It will be definetely very good overturn where I will try to defend my title as OH State Tournament Champion and Richard Beckwith, Lowie Cowie, Ray, Alan Millhone, John Acker, Steve Holiday and perhaps some other Ohioans will try to dethrone myself

From most recent rumors Joe Moore also is willing to join party and fight for the first price and overall winner title (not Statet Champion). I hope we'll have alot of fun, guys.

Richard, can we help Ray with room expanses ? I also can drive Ray to Medina if he is OK with myself smoking in the car

Great news though.

Regards,

Alex

Alex, I'm not sure what you have in mind here from me, as there is not a specific fund here other than generic "ACF Travel Donation" button in the ACF store (which doesn't see much use). Nevertheless, I would be willing to pitch in for Ray's hotel expenses if it helps get new players here.

Yesterday I was on Kurnik and had very small chance to talk with Ray. He said that he didn't ply much this year yet. Unfortunately family activities took me out of Internet and we didn't finish conversation. I will continue my conversation with him later. One of solution could be - If he is tolerant to my smoking and agrees to share room with me. Will see.
