A King for a Oldbury, a Pask for a Spayth. "Checker Trivia question of the Day". What part of our museum collection would this be relating to? (Cont.)

Yes trading cards is correct, but we don't have these for the modern day players. They came in packets of 12 or more as I recall. (Cont.)

Tell us more, did they have the player's picture and name on the front and what was on the back of the cards? Were they a part of some companies advertisng compaign? Are there dates on the cards? What is the "Babe Ruth" of checker trading cards, would that be the James Wyllie, aka "Herd Laddie" card?

Regards, "Pal" Bucker

BTW, if anyone starts making checkers players trading cards again, I want the first "Hurricane" Henry Frugard card that comes off the printing press, that would be worth 2 gransmans and a redeyechecker card or a dozen bugsyou cards any day of the week! :D
