Re: Civility on the ACF Forum
Alan, Thank you for taking overdue control. I have one question for Alex. Alex, Who exactlly are you referring to as "TRASH TALKERS"? Any forum reader can see for themselves who the instigators of trash talk are. It is YOU and your juvenile minded followers who are causing all the disharmony on this otherwise well-meaning ACF forum. YOU have a brazen neck to attempt to disassociate yourself from your long history of insulting, derogatory posts to both men and women alike for daring to disagree with your views on this otherwise excellent medium for exchanging viewpoints, etc. You may think you are fooling some people, in reality you are only fooling yourself.

In my opinion, referring to forum members as "trash people" constitutes an "attack."
I suggest you reread and heed the following excerpt from Alan's original post:

Re: Civility on the ACF Forum
Dennis, "attacks" which you mentioned are not personal. These are inpersonal attacks and they are targeted only onto people who has great ability to convert any conversation regarding any subject into trash talks. They are walking around the forum as armed brigade jumping into any conversations and making these converations miserable.
This definetely has influence on the face of this forum and ACF and we can't tolerate this.
Our forum must be clean. If we can't make it clean - it would be better to remove forum or place it under separate independent web address and leave on ACF page only ACF related topics and ACF & checkers related news.
I support Alan initiative with cleanup and housekeeping.
No passarana !

Alex
Are you saying that impersonal attacks are acceptable and that personal attacks are not acceptable?
If so, Alan's message did not make this distinction.
To wit:
Although a "personal attack" can be strictly defined as one which refers to a specific person, I believe your reference to "trash people" can be construed as a borderline "personal attack."Alan Millhone wrote:

In essense, your were referring to certain unnamed people on this forum as "trash."
"People", in general, are not entirely "impersonal." People are persons. Therefore, they are not "impersonal."
There is a big difference between attacking an inanimate object, such as brick wall, and a named or unnamed person or group of persons.
I wanted to call this distinction to your attention, on behalf of your personal self-awareness and the betterment of your future civility and conduct.
It is my hope that you have made a decision to refrain from making any future personal attacks on these forums and that your future posts will be governed accordingly.
Best Wishes,
Dennis Cayton

Its good to see Mr President back and trying to restore order once again. Now i expect he reprimand Alex Moiseyev severley for his horrible indescretions and the shadow he has cast over the title of World Champion in the recent past.
Someone MUST relate to him the importance of this and Mr President sooner rather than later!!.that he is not just Alex Moiseyev but the holder of the higest office in checkers............World Champion.

Almost right Tommy. First and foremost he is Alex Moiseyev. Secondly, he is Alex Moiseyev,World checker Champion. Tommy , it is becoming more and more apparent to the vast majority of posters and viewers alike that Alex Moiseyev is incapable of posting in a civilised manner. He is hell bent on insulting and belittling ANYBODY who disagrees with him. As the old adage goes, "The man can easily be taken from the back street, but the back street is not easily taken out of the man".
