"Champion374" Sorry, I'm not sure who you are or what country you are from. As noted previously, entries to the Qualifier tournament are due to to John Reade by next month, so there is still time. (Many other countries still need to submit names of participants). With that said, it is not an open tournament. Your country's federation must be in good standing with WCDF dues for 2011, and your federation can only send two people (except the host country gets three spots), not counting entries specific for women or youth divisions. Each federation usually has their own system to decide who they send (National Tournament finish, rating, or whatever).

Kent,
The BDA is paid up, because Ron King gave me the WCDF dues at the Medina, Ohio US National.
You might express your interest to Suki, but I can't speak for how Barbados will select their representatives. Jack Francis told me he wants to attend. At one time, I understood there were two Barbados federations. If needed, the other federation could also affiliate to create two additional spots (although this strategy likely can't be used next year for a WMSG event).

Re: GAYP QT 2011 in Italy.
Kent and Danny (and anyone else): It's two people per checker association/federation that can enter the main tournament to determine Ron King's next challenger. Additional women and additional youth (up to two each, per federation) are permitted for the separate youth and woman's event (and assuming there is enough participation for such a separate division to be held). These women or youth can also elect to enter the main tournament instead to challenge Ron King, but would need to be one of the federation's two nominations. [An exception here was Amangul in 2010 -- special honor to current ladies world champion.] The host country (Italy this year) gets three nominations per each category. The youth cutoff is age 18. This information has all been posted: http://wcdf.wz.cz/bylaws.htm
I understand the World Mind Sports Game is a go for Manchester, probably August 2012. In the 2008 Beijing WMSG, we were more limited on entry spots and held each country (not association) to 2-4 nominations apiece (IOC-type rules), as we were allowed only ~40-50 players max in this prestigious event, and only one medal event.
