Labor Day !!!!!

Anyone seen Bob Newell's 'Checker Maven" for 9/3/11.....LABOR DAY 2011...?
This post goes with it.
As an American, I feel Labor Day is the single most celebratory day of the year....it is a demonstration of the strength of American Labor.
And yes, I DO HAVE THE DAY OFF !!!
While I was considering what brew to buy for the picnic I am having, it became , once again, a no-brainer to me...



Why...?
As simple as the verbiage pasted to the side of the can....

UNION MADE !!!!

Jay I'm somewhat disappointed. Granted that beauty is in the eye of the beerholder, but in my opinion there's a much better beer brewed not too far north of you.



Of course they booted out their union a few years back, so you're welcome to spend your money to support whatever you like. Personally I support local brews (market cross in carlisle, troegs and abc in harrisburg, etc) mostly, but will buy a Yuengling before any other American beer.

My trouble is I need four beers before beer becomes palatable enough for me to finish an entire bottle.

LOL John .... that's a bit of a conundrum...

I am partial to beer.... although i prefer wine.... but either way i am not a big drinker at all....
but i do not like unions or their bullying tactics very much at all... to each their own i guess !

PS which date do you guys celebrate labour day up there??? here it is May 1st (very close to the queen's birthday holiday, which by the way it isn't the queen's birthday at all, but who would be silly enough to knock a free holiday???)

Labor Day in the USA and Canada is on the first Monday in September.
