As Alex mentioned in the other thread, ratings and event standings are different.
In the masters, aren't all games to be recorded anyway? Why couldn't the individual game (or ballot) results be "rebuilt" off of the games for ratings purposes? If it's a matter of the work that would cause, I'll gladly help out.

Jason and John,

You are exactly right and it was one of the options that I gave. I could just collect the results of every game and do the ratings that way. BUT it would alter the way the master players would play a traditional 4 game round winner take all tournament. Normally players are just going to play to win the round and not necessarily every game. If the round score is 3-0 why even play a 4th game? Might as well go out and get an early lunch. But if every game is counted is affects the way the tournament will be played. And that is something that I think needs to be considered. I want to give players the option of what is most important to them. I am the guy who is in charge of the ratings, but I don't want to cause people to have an unpleasant tournament experience.
