Thank you Jan, Irma and George. Dilwyn John was second with Roy Davies third. Nigel Proffitt could not find his usual fine form and finished about 5th,

Thanks John. It is only right that I should say that my dear friend Mac Banks gave me a fine cook to use in the mail tourney. It was used to beat Roy Davies, I have Mac's permission to show the cook and will post it in a little while.

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Many thanks Danny.

Hi Tommy,
The English Open Postal Championship is advertised in the
EDA Journal and you can enter by sending Ian Caws £5.00.

If you wish to enter this year's event then please sent Ian a
cheque as soon as possible as it commences in March. I have
never known a late entry not to be accepted, with some players
entering four weeks after the closing date!

I have done my best to make this event known and have been
successful in getting a few "internet players" to enter.

You do not need an "invitation" to enter Tommy. I am sure the players will be
thrilled if you entered.

I will not be playing this year so the best of luck to all players in
this year's event.

Lindus.
