Patrik, here is a list of chechers playing sites active today:

1) Microsoft Zone
2) Kurnik
3) VOG
4) Playsite
5) Yahoo
6) ITT
7) BrainGames
8 ) Gambler

I probably missed couple more. There are few private Holland sites to play 10x10, and same thing for Russian / Brazilian checkers. There are also about 10 active checkers forums available today.

Hope this may help you.

Alex
I am playing checkers, not chess.

to help group us together
i like kurnik

You are just not good enough to play blitz, that's all.

99% of players there aren't cheaters. Someone might use a 2nd computer to run a program and another computer to play the game but those foes play very long timers and it's quite obvious what they're doing :)

John Acker was just suprised at the talent level that kurnik - he just had to resort to calling them cheaters. Besides the masters, most offline players are not as good as kurnik online players.

Why do players have to prove themselves offline?

"most offline players" have far better manners than their Kurnik counterparts.

A few of the young ACFers love to differ.

Just to prove, they are good and no cheaters.
You can rent this space for advertising, if you like!

You don't have to play offline to prove you are good and you don't cheat.

Evenings aren't generally very good for me-- homework. But if you want to play still, contact me on ItsYourTurn.com as Deutsch-Mann.

I'll just be at Kurnik on matisyahu if you want to play.

actually i agree with john about some of this
i think really u should play in tournaments or atleast around other
checker players or ...all you have is numbers on a website
i do play offline as well as on...and dont do to well at either but
i think i am known as an honest player and my low rating at kurnik will
help prove that.....however what u mentioned about kurnik and cheaters
there are cheaters there ....they are easy to identify
they use a program to help them use a program to cheat ....but
master level players can compete against this

most program use small timers not large timers
programs like less than 5 minute games ....
