Bob Murr's wife passed away

Post by JR Smith »

Our sympathy and condolences to the family of Robert Murr.

I just talked to Bob Murr of Colorado Springs, CO. His wife, Tanna for 48 years passed away 3:45PM Saturday, April 28, 2012. Bob hasn't been active in checkers for several years because of Tanna's poor health and his need to be close and take care of her.

Bob called me this morning with the sad news. Tanna had suffered a breathing attack on the Saturday before last and was rushed to the hospital. Tanna was brought home early last week which was where she wanted to be. Bob and their two daughters Wendy and Cindy were at her side when she passed from this life to the next. They have five grandchildren.

They were looking forward to celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary this coming June 28th by going to a favorite location where they had spent several of their past anniversaries.

Arrangments are pending at Swan-Law Funeral Home.

I believe the best part of our game is the wonderful friendships which are forged through competition.

My cherished friend Bob and his family have my heart felt sympathies.

This is terrible news!!!

For the last 2-3 years I have visited Bob's house on numerous occasions. Tanna was a very nice lady who seemed to keep Bob in line. I am very sorry for this loss and cannot imagine how it feels to lose someone who has been by your side for almost half a century. My deepest condolences.
