I see that Alex has 4 points for his second round. Was it 4 draws? 2 wins each? If anyone knows please post. Thanks

Thanks for the updates. Do you have anymore that are not on the website yet? Hard to believe that majors are still playing.

John, I really like the software you are using! I have been looking at the results of each round as they go. The software you are using gives you plenty of options to find data quickly, like using the scorecard option, etc. You certainly have revolutionized checker tournament score keeping.

So far in third round, Alex is up 2 points against Kondlo, King is leading by 2 points against Webster, and Earl Morrison is up 2 points against me. I don't know the other outcomes, but the 3rd round will be completed later today.

Thanks for the updates. It's going to be hard for anyone to catch Alex now. Also looks like my Alex is creeping up the line too. A very good start to the tournament.

++++++++++++++++++++++++Newsflash++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Alex Moiseyev was stopped at the US Nationals by South African Grandmaster Lubabalo Kondlo this morning, losing the last of four games and the 2nd opening they played.
Yersterday Alex had won the 1st game and the first opening.
They are both now on 9 points, joined by Grandmaster Jack Francis, who beat the American IM Tim Laverty by 3-1.
Alex now paired against Jack Francis, while Lubabalo has to face Ron King.
What looked like a clean sweep for Alex yersterday now looks like a close three horse race .
Meanwhile ACF President Alan Millhone kept hsi lead by tying John Estes 4-4, while US Youth Champion Alex Holmes and Larry Atwood managed to clsoe in.
Millhone now on 24 points, Holmes, Estes and Arwood at 20.
The first winner was George Stallsworth, who won the minor tournament. Congratulations to him!

Re: ACF National 2012.
I won both openings against Jack Francis and got 4 points. Lubabalo won 1st opening against Ron but it seems like Ron is winning 3rd game (still in progress) and may come back and drew round. Intrigue is growing and everything so far is in big clouds.
More likely tomorrow my opponent in Rd.5 will be Larry Keen.

Re: ACF National 2012.
Stallsworth should be playing in majors according to his rating. There are some majors that should be in minors according to their rating. We could of had at least 8 players in the minors instead of 4.

Re: ACF National 2012.
Is 1850 still the cutoff? and I thought for the Masters it is 2150 but I really cant remember. Can you post the rating range for each division Joe? Obviously each person has there unique situation as to why they might want or should play in a different division than what the ratings suggest but the ratings should give people a good idea as to their playing strength.
Remember that we all know that the ratings only suggest your playing level and time and quantity make the deviations somewhat more than what they should be at times.

Re: ACF National 2012.
Michael, the rating range has changed due to the new rating system that has been used.
Masters: 2000 and higher
Majors: 1700-1999
Minors: 1699 and lower
I suggested this range for this national tournament and I think it was used to an extent.
