Who will be in Bedford and what turn we can expect this year ?
Should we name Bedford as "Little Lille" ?

Alex
Alex, has this event been cancelled? I tried finding something about that on google but could not. What news do you have about it being cancelled?Once Sport Accord event in Beijing, China cancelled
Not for public discussion. As of now there is still a chance it can be change and/or reverse.Palomino wrote:What news do you have about it being cancelled?
Just read it ... WOW ! I will be there 99.99% for sure !!! Paul Davis - another living checkers legend who played one time match with Marion Tinsley and hold both titles of ACF National champion: GAYP and 3 moves.Palomino wrote:Paul Davis
Since 1999 VA State, September 10-12, Danville I beleive where I played with him opening 9-13 22-18 11-15. He was confused with order of moves at earlier stage and ran out of moves.Palomino wrote:I don't think he has played in a tournament for a very long time.
Mr. Davis is a very kind gracious sort of fellow and very worthy of our respect and certainly, I believe, deserving of such recognition by the WCDF.I also tried to encourage WCDF to give him GM title for his accomplishments in the past
See you there , Bill ! You can start your plans ahead.Bill Salot wrote:Alex,
I'll show up at Bedford if you will.
Would be nice to have her as a member of this fourm! (I hope she is reading this.)Patricia Breen [met her at the Home Inters in Cookstown] she s a big fan of the Forum!!
Just to clarify the above; it was 1979 U.S. GAYP National Champion Paul Davis of Rose Hill, VA that Alex was speaking of. Mr. Davis was also 1988 U.S. National 3-Move Champion.Alex wrote:
