Tommy, for this particular job you fired. It's done, it's gone.
If you are looking for new job, send me your resume. It should have in general two major sections:
Work experience
- what had you done (if any) for checkers in general in the past;
Skills
- Leadership
- Communications skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Raise funds skills.
You have to include here information about real events happened under you leadership.
I also need from you list of references - people who had contact with you more than 5 minutes and didn't get insulted.
I will review your resume and let you know - what I can do for you and how we can utilize your experience and credentials. Probably the best job for you would be something out of any communications with other people ... maybe edit my next book ... or deliver (silently) coffee and water to players of upcoming match and accept orders from them ?
Respectfully,
AM

Re: Europeans vs Americans.
Ouch....Tommy got demoted from a leader to a water boy.
Re: Europeans vs Americans.
I dont know whos been writing Moiseyevs posts recently unless he s got a brain transplant English language its certainly NOT him. And all i can say is at least i can write my own and not pretend or cheat like he does.
In answer to whoever posted them i will just say;;;;;Skills
- Leadership
- Communications skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Raise funds skills.
On the points whoever wrote this...................??
I will just say this ....when i invited Alex Moiseyev to Ireland in 2007 to the Irish Open i displayed plenty of leadership, communication and organisational skills in getting him to Ireland...and everything was free to him in cooperation with the Inishowen Draughts Club and the North West Draughts Federation ,hotel ,meals ,travel. He was treated like a lord with respect and courtesy while he was there by all concerned.Picked up and dropped back to the airport.Flights all paid for to and from the USA and a bag of money to take home with him.Maybe i was a clown then ,as ive had nothing but disrespect from that man since.
More the fool me. My regard now for Alex Moiseyev is that of a snake in the grass the lowest of the low with neither manners nor breeding. He has shown ALL Russian people in a very bad light and proves to be a poor ambassador for his homeland, full of contempt and ignorance if he doesnt get what he wants. Obviously he was not taught manners nor tact nor breeding in his childhood and so he remains ....blowing in the wind not knowing any better.I should feel sorry for him,but i just cant bring myself to do that. ............he doesnt deserve it.
PS .......If you must reply please be man enough to do it yourself.!!

Re: Europeans vs Americans.
Tommy,
I am appologise for over emotional message I posted. Yes, i wrote it on my own (did my English imporved ??). I was a little bit angry when our conversation went into sarcastic mode and not constructive sceptical comments. It is very important and not a funny subject for me. We all have to work together and work hard make it happened.
I really don't worry - it's your idea, my idea or someone else. An idea of such match was in the air immediately since last USA vs UK & I one side match was over. And I trully want this match happened .... as sooner as better because we continue missing good players.
And indeed I don't need your resume - I know very well what you've done for checkers, your contributions and credentials.
So ... sorry again for insulted post. Hope we can leave it behind ... it's quite painful for both of us, I beleive.
Respectfully,
Alex Moiseyev

To;;;;Mr Alex Moiseyev
While i accept in good faith what yu posted and believe in the sincerity of it,im afraid this is the end of this particular conversation.I accept also we were both highly
charged and said some pretty rude things but while i can be humourous at times on here there is a line that you dont cross with me.I thank you for your generosity
and for speaking out and perhaps somewhere down the road we can renew old [black] aquaintises again and the cut and thrust of the eternal"battle of words".
Accept my regrets over all of this.............indeed it was painful.
Until then i hope you continue with the "IDEA" that may in time manifest itself into a situation that might bring about a World Cup of Draughts in the future.[tc]

Re: Europeans vs Americans.
World Cup is Dream of Dreams, top of mountain. It cannot be done without some serious sponsorship.tommyc wrote:World Cup of Draughts
And idea of just "standalone match", Europe vs North America, on low profile, without much money involve, is more realistic. We did exactly the same thing in 2004 with Barbados and I don't see a reason why we can't do it now.
As I said - many (not all) American good players are ready travel at their own expanse. About 10 players. This is good start.
Still looking for volunteers oversea who wants to join party - play, or promote, or both.
Regards,
Alex Moiseyev

Re: Europeans vs Americans.
Why are all Checker/Draughts players so bad at arithsmetics?
if u invite a team of 10 players plus reserve to Europe or the USA, it would be the same as inviting 5 or 6 teams of four players. Same number of free rooms and meals to cover.
But: you can start a Checker/Draughts Olympid movement just like in Chess:
http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=8466
The FID invited other nations to come to their nations Cup in Fossano, and they covered the costs of four players.
Something like that would be much better then a match USA vs. Europe, and the risk that one team does not show up is reduced if u invite six teams, not just two.
Also other teams could participate, if the cover hotel costs on their own.
and you can easier attract media attention.
Think about that.
The international matches made sense in an era when only two poles existed:
the USA and the UK (later: UK and Ireland)
I think the 2005 match was the last of its kind, but international competitions should now include more then two teams.
Just reduce the number of boards, and you can invite more countries and make it a bigger event, with the same costs.
