This very professional post came from John Acker under the ID USA Checkers (representing the ACF) on Facebook.
"I'm surprised there was room for Eric and his massive ego in the same zip code, let alone the same tournament room. He couldn't even wait for the tourney to finish to post how badly his opponents played, how much better he was, etc etc etc. That kind of jackass we don't need in the ACF, or in the civilized world for that matter."
I went back through everything that I had said in the District 9 postings and do not see how I talked about how badly my opponents played. I posted some games where both me and my opponent did not play very well, and in those games... I was the player who struggled for the draw... I made a ton of mistakes and have a lot to learn from this tournament. Honestly, I am not seeing how anything I said was disrespectful. Other than the post about Joe Schwartz.... and to be honest... A lot more things happened with him after that post that would shock everyone... I stopped myself from telling everyone about it because I did not want to completely ruin another (very good) players reputation. I guess that is the kind of "jackass" behavior that nobody needs in the ACF. I have a tremendous amount of respect for both John Webster, and Gerry Lopez! They were both very professional and made attending this tournament a lot of fun.
I never once said I was far better than any of them, and I still don't think I'm better than them.
Stop being jealous and talking a bunch of nonsense crap all over the internet John... your just making yourself look bad. Most of all, don't talk all that crap under the ID "USA Checkers"... your making the entire organization look unprofessional.
You can dislike me all you want... I love haters.
Response to Danny:
and Danny... nobody is jealous of John.... Not too mention I speak truth and don't make up crap just to make someone else look bad while representing the ACF on a public social website. I contribute to checkers as a whole Danny, with a small list of ACF contributions... including ratings system, and soon to be ACF's own online play room just for ACF members. I also hosted D9 tournament a few years ago when Gerry was unable to do it.

John Acker is a valuable member of the ACF, his contributions are too numerous to actually list. the main ones , being the volunteering and broadcasting of the 3-move world championship (something that will be hard to surpass by one person alone) and national tournaments...
how have you contributed Eric?
how have you contributed Eric?

What would checkers be like without its rivalries, lol. Everyone should keep in mind this is a game....try having fun. What would ohio state vs michigan be like if fans quit talking smack and hating each other? We're all human, and some people just don't get along with others.

I feel badly when I see friends arguing and "slamming" each other. I consider both John Acker and Eric Strange to be friends and both very good checker players. Please stop this nonsense as it is no way for two talented checker players to conduct discourse in regard to the greatest game ever played between men (and women).
