Round 3 just started. Borghetti-Kondlo playing Black Hole, but Lubabablo jumped 7-14? and trying to survive. (Lub. also went into early pp loss on King from 10-14 22-18 7-10 25-22 11-16 29-25 16-19 instead of 8-11*...................

My two horse is being realised earlier that i thought with Kondlo s lack of knowledge in the NEW openings and HARD 3 movers. One down ONE to go.The moral of the story is you cant play top checkers and hope to win unless yu have knowledge of these......am i beijging !! premature>>lol.

What do you like about checkers?: I like complicated games and draw endgames with one man down

6 rounds also seems to be a little short, but then again only 4 people in the event. I think they could have added Sergio and some of those Turkish players too. All of them probably ahead of Ron King and Kondlo in 3 move. In any case, this is still a great event featuring 4 of the best players in the world.

Black hole is almost impossible to draw without any kind of publish play knowledge. I actually studied and knew one variation, but when I played Larry Keen, he played a different opening move from white and I immediately replied with a losing move. An opening from the weak side, which is about one thing and one thing only, "survival"

Just as i forecast ..............a two horse race, simply because of superior knowledge of hard 3mv PP.No one will draw the Black Hole cross-board.
The final round tomorrow is finely balanced with Miki slight favorite having good cross-board skills and much hard 3 mv knowledge.Ron will be looking for a win against Moiseyev and aLEX needs to win to finish top.Miki is the slightest of favorites but in reality theres nothing in it and discount Moiseyev at yu peril./....May the best man win failing that may the one with the most pts be the winner.!!

PS So the Black Hole appears for a second time ,amazing in such a short TY.

Once again English draughts has been sidelined with the organisers not even updating the scores....rather petty on their part.

Thats right.................no respect at for the 64 sq board and the FMJD are to blame for all of this. They cant even update the scores on their the site.

Kondlo won that first game. He was pressing Borghetti in 2nd game, but they just finished with draw.

Alex and Ron had two draws -- Ron clearing the board in the last game with a quadruple-jump in-and-out.

Alex wins (13 pts, 1 win and no losses), and Borghetti and Kondlo (12 pts apiece) will do rapid play ("barrages" for the 10x10 Beijing folks) for Silver.

Congratulations to Alex Moiseyev

The real King of our game :king:

Seems like Lubabalo fell into a black hole, or he could have won it.
