Hello everyone,
I recently learned that the African American community in my state primarily plays Russian Checkers, and I was wondering
1. If African Americans in other states play Russian Checkers exclusively, and
2. How did they learn this variation?
I read a post earlier where someone played in Africa, where apparantly the Russian game is the norm. So this begs my final question-
3. Who exactly borrowed from whom? Did the Russians get their game from Africa, or did the Africans get their game from Russia?
Thanks in advance-
Darrin

Re: Russian Checkers in South Carolina
Don't be confuse - they play POLL checkers, not Russian checkers. And not only African immigrants play pool checkers, but many Americans too.

Thanks for the correction, I am just learning the difference. Can anyone direct me to where I can learn more about the history of Pool Checkers?
