This is one of my favorites. But I probably will not go and just go to the Chess tourney instead.
Unfortunately this means I cannot defend my title .

I should also add that my dad is playing in the tournament.
Re: IL Tourney
Early unofficial results:
My good friend Ted Williamson call me a few minutes ago on his way home and was delighted about his performance. He and Bill Gullett from Rush, KY drove over together. There were 10 Masters and 13 Majors. Ted said, "It was a wonderful and fun tournament!" Bill Gullett won the Majors, and Ted Williamson, Ken Christian, and Neil Wenberg tied for 3rd place, as Flavious Burgess took second place. Not sure about the honor points that will separate this 3-way tie. Bill and Ted only lost one game apiece. He said Brian Hinkle and Dr. Beckwith drove in together. The top performers in the Master Division were: Beckwith, Keen, & Tucker when they left. Nick Boatman, Bryce Morville, Gene Ellison, Gary Ellison, John Grisley, Brian Hinkle, Albert Tucker, Larry Keen, Richard Beck, and one more name I don’t recall made up the Master field. In the Majors were two first timers, Howard Hoover, Flavious Burgess, Bill Gullett, Ted Williamson, Ken Christian, Neil Wenberg, Harvey Powell, Roger Doll and 3 others. Ken Christian introducted his grandson to his first tournament, they drove up together.
Michael and Alex Holmes who are usually at this tournament, but not this time. We will wait for Roger Doll to post the official results, which he usually does in a day or two. Later, JR
