Re: German Open
Igor Martynov won convincingly:

Juri Geisenblas became the most second-placed of the weekend after he also took 2nd place at the preceeding Draughts 100 event:

Ingo Zachos again showed no progress and he is likely to drop out of the national top three in the near future with great talents approaching....
Erik Jungmann (Korbach) announced that he would win the youth trophy and nearly finished best local player. He was unlucky to face merciless Igor in the last round and dropped out from a possible bronce medal finish.
Women Champion Lisa Marie Henkel recovered from a bad first day to almost gain the youth trophy as well!
14 players were not a bad turnout, but we will try to break the record of 20 players next year, most likely switching to an earlier date in springtime.
Many thanks to the Korbach draughts club and their president and restless organizer Jan Zioltkowski.
Greetinx from a very rainy grey evening,
Ingo Zachos
