At the end of the King-Scarpetta match the interest to Straight checkers in Russia is very high.
One of their young grandmasters just issued a challenge to see a great game/position executing a strategical plan.

I think this is a fantastic opportunity to attract Russian players to Straight Checkers, we all know how capable they are in chess and other types of checkers, most World champions were Russians.

But I need such game today, while their interest is high! Show me the page in the book or post the game with comments here.

contains a section with 50 selected master games from page 180 on.

I think they might be useful, especially game number 20, Wyllie - Yates, a game that decided the world championship in the very last game and the game itself was a tossup with winning chances for both sides for yery long.

2. Also Frank Dunnes "Draughts Praxis"

is full of interesting master games, those of the Jordan-Freedman match at the begining are also very well annotated.

3. "Big League Checkers" by Willie Ryan

contains from page 4 the match Willie Ryan - Alex Cameron with very good annotations and from page 35 on the Ryan -Young match with sparse annotation.

I saw the 1985 Tinsley article on the OMOCH site, but it was hard to read, the reduced size made letters fuzzy, so I searched for the newspaper and cut the article out in three large overlapping pieces, with letters legible to read http://checkersusa.com/books/Magazines/Misc/Tinsley.pdf. I found the content fascinating, the author was able to portray the great champion in very feminine tones, a gentle giant, many of her insightful thoughts should be preserved and quoted. Perhaps someone has the actual text of the article? Or some retiree will take it as a project to type the text?

I just added a Checker Art page full of beautiful images, here is probably the most famous one by Norman Rockwell

I am planning to create a Gallery of images on different subjects - Straight Checkers, kids, history, fun, need your support and your pictures!
Someone suggested a gallery of videos - that is problematic, I prefer to have a local copy of every book, picture or video in case the link disappears like it happened with Tinsley/Walker video, but videos are hard to download and they take too much room.
