Sergio Scarpetta won the Czech Open in Checkers, held during the CEMSO in Prague.
In his first event as newly crowned World Champion, he finished ahead of IM Igor Martynov (Germany), defending champion Claudio Ciampi (Italy) and the Women's World Champion Nadiya Chyshevska (Ukraine).
Congratulations to Sergio for another triumph, and also to Igor, Claudio and Nadiya for a fine performance.
Also Congratulations to Vaclav Krista for winning the title of Czech Champion 2014.
Last, but not least to my Czech friends for hosting that fine event and evidently being good hosts. I know they can do better.
