The rooms have 2 queen size beds and there is no charge for two people staying in the same room. There is a charge for the third, etc, The hotel is in the Louisville area (which is actually across the river in Indiana) for the November WCDF Qualifier. $95.00 per day includes breakfast. Block is for WCDF for November 11-16 (play 13-16). 15 minutes without traffic from Louisville Airport. 4 minutes from downtown Louisville. Restaurants (Golden Corral, Bob Evans, Mexican place) within walking distance; Walmart and Target are just a couple of minutes away by car.

The list is provisional, as some federations have yet to pay their dues, some have not nominated yet, but expressed their wish to sent their players, most notably Turkmenistan (Men/Women), Ukraine (Men), South Africa (Men) and England.

I am sorry that this year no German will make it, but Igor Martynov, Juri Geisenblas and myself (first three of our national Championships) all are unable to make it.


Anyway, looks like a great field if Sergio, Ron and Alex can all make it and it looks like the Women's World Championship is finally established, with Nadiya and Erika propably the (provisional) favorites.

Mark Sokolovsky used to be very strong player in Russian Checkers, 2 times USSR Champion In mail play. It would be a great thing if we can collect 18-20 players from 6-8 countries.

I join with Sergio about the same question - does anyone knows anything (or maybe heard some rumors) - who is coming to Louisville this week to play in WQT ? Recently I received email from WCDF President which had very much the same list with very much the same open spots - players from South Africa, Ukraine and Turkmenistan are still in big question.

Surely by now, you realize the ACF does not communicate with it's membership in it's public forum or pretty much in any way for that matter. Sharing information about any of the goings on of the officers,or duties, or anything else is apparently against policy of this administration.

"AE" ? Many years ago (15?) there was a group (I think on Vog or Zone) called AE organized by the kids themselves tired of fault language, cheating and bad behaviour. Those were the days...

I was the honorary old guy in the group.
I tried and succeeded to get the young internet players into real tourns.
Those were some very talented and nice young men that i still am proud to know.
Many tried to work with that ACF and were met with opposition and were ran off...Clint helped get this website up and was treated poorly by the ACF administration. Many of those fine young men tried to work with, organize tourns and work within that ACF.
Makes me CUSS to think of the way ACF has treated our young players.

I for one KNOW why the ACF is "dead man walking"............just look at the way they treat young players and the internet players. haha also look how "quickly and efficiently" they have responded to important questions on this forum.

Makes me sick. ACF are you listening????????????

Ted, everything you wrote is correct. In the recent years ACF definitely doesn't do anything positive and instead - continue making significant damage. Last example - WQT junk bid and ACF 3-moves National fiasco and disaster. Existing ACF administration is killing checkers.

This is the reason we are going to replace this administration - young John Acker is running for ACF President and I am running for the office of ACF Player Representative. If you want to have difference and progress in ACF - use your vote most efficiently in the upcoming ACF elections in 2015. Your vote will be counted ! Don't passively miss election, time is critical, it's almost a grave time for all of us and checkers.

Anyway - this topic about WQT and WCDF, not ACF ... another headache

2014 Calendar of WCDF Events

The 2014 World Qualification Tournament / Women & Youth World Championship has been awarded to USA on November 13-16. The overall winner of the qualifier division tournament (3-Move restriction openings) earns the right to challenge Michele Borghetti for the 3-Move Restriction World Title in 2015. The scheduled events in Louisville will also include 3-Move World Championship events for both women and youth. Entry fee is $50 for each event. All events will play at the BluegrassMagic Gameshop.
