Will the WCDF ratings be updated soon? Much has happened since October 1, 2011 when the ratings were last updated!

On a positive note, on the WCDF Champions page, the GAYP Juniors World Champion has been updated to Alex Holmes, and I'm sure
the GAYP World Champion will soon be updated to Sergio Scarpetta.

I see the WCDF website has been updated to show Sergio Scarpetta as the New GAYP World Champion, very good!
Of course, checkers fans would like to see a ratings update to see who is currently in the top 10 and top 25.

I spoke with Joe Moore about this -- ACF may be able to pick this up if no other functioning volunteer comes forward. Joe wrote to me, "I think we should wait a bit and give Travis some time to finish up his system. From there, we can decide on which formula we can use and how to assign titles to players."

the new 2014 world checker draughts ratings only thing missing the countries of the players but nice. i see there is no master grand master and so on why is this?

i find it kind of puzzleing, im from barbados but i find it funny Shane McCosker not in the top 10. please explain to me how the ratings are done.

An explanation about ratings (calculated in December) was sent to WCDF delegates back in February. Excerpts include:

Joe Moore (Pennsylvania) has made a new WCDF ratings calculation using a different formula than historical. However, the list lacks inclusion of many events (particularly non-USA ones) where Joe did not have access to the round-by-round results. Joe will accept these events going forward, as well as completed 2014 events. Joe wrote, "I have included all players who have played at least 1 game in the last two years. Anyone who has not played within the last 2 years is not included on the list. All tournaments have been rated with some exceptions. First, I was not able to rate the Pete Schmuker's Checker Meet, or the Women's World Qualifier due to complications in Eric's system."

John Reade sent Joe several UK events after-the-fact. Tournament controllers who can send full names & round-by-round results in an Excel "T format" would help facilitate matters for the processor. As for titles, these are not forgotten and hope to be incorporated again in future; Joe is an unpaid volunteer who was kindly making a first pass at ratings.

he is making a effort and i like it. how do send round by round results and to who?i like the way checkers is going with the world cup and stuff lets build this.does the presidents has the info on sending out the results to joe ?

about the world cup rich any more info on that?
