Re: GAYP Qualifiers 2015
Hi there champion,
Sorry but I have no information on the Barbados players' names as yet. Dr John Reade informed me by email today that other players are sure to be named soon. As soon as I hear I will post again.
That is the full extent of the information I have to date.
Best wishes,
Lindus.

It is great to hear that your game is improving. My standard, such as it ever was (mediocre at best), is getting worse

I have just added another fine player's name to the list I posted earlier, that of Tony Boyle of England. As soon as I hear anything further I will post it right away

Re: GAYP Qualifiers 2015
Dafydd Williams reports that he is not able to play in the qualifiers due to work commitments. He is perhaps the strongest player in Wales now and so this is a big disappointment. Hopefully John Morgan will find a second and indeed third Welsh player.

Hi Shane,
Really delighted that you are hoping to play in the qualifiers as it will be great to see you again and indeed learn by watching your mastery of the checkerboard. It might be best if you contact John Morgan at: johnmorgan396@btinternet.com concerning accommodation. Do not leave it too late as digs there can be hard to get if left to the last moment and then you can end up paying through the nose. The knighton Hotel is very expensive and in any case, I think, fully booked for the week in question. The George and Dragon is a nice place and quite reasonable at around forty to forty-five pounds a night for b&b. It is only 80 yards from the venue which will be the Knighton Hotel.
I hope this helps in some way.
Best wishes always,
Lindus.

No one from Italy or Barbados ? I heard rumors that 3-moves World Champion M. Borghetti showed an interest to this event.

As far as I know, Borghetti and Bernini from Italy, and Kondlo from South Africa are planning to take part in the tournament, too.

Hi Shane,
Delighted to hear that you have booked digs in Knighton. The George and Dragon is a great place to stay I have heard. Nice, quiet rooms at the back of the building and just a stone's throw from the Knighton Hotel where both events will be played. I am just so pleased to have been invited as an unrated player. Still, it will be my pleasure to make up the numbers among such an exalted list of players.
Have a good trip over to Wales. Look forward to seeing you.
Here is a link to the George and Dragon which might have some rooms left, should any other players wish to book there:
