WCDF Ratings Update?

Glad you appreciate Joe's efforts. And we realize there is still room to expand the ratings report out going forward. WCDF delegates should have had the info (if they read my periodic WCDF communications) but tournament round-by-round data can go to Joe Moore at chexnchips@yahoo.com

yes i am for positive stuff for the sport. so for the world cup and european cup look like steping stones for the sport.

i cant wait to see the new rankings. and hope tournament directors send forward there results.
a Grandmaster in chess is so much respected. in checkers seems to be diffrent the world champion seems to be much more concentrated on
as we know every one cant be a world champion. theres only 1 world champion apose to 100 Grandmasters.

I do apologize for the delay in updating the ratings. My wife and I are expecting our first very soon and so we are both in the process of going through some changes. I did receive the European tournaments from John Reade and plan to enter them soon. Furthermore, we will start to assign titles (grandmaster, master etc.) in connection with the ratings. I will dedicate some time very soon to get the process moving.

I just find out that ACF / WCDF ratings finally after long delay were updated

List of players gets cleaner and smoke slowly goes away, however there are still here names of people who passed away (Earl Morrison at least to say)

We also have people for whom ratings were not updated since 2013 and some of them incidentally are still on top of list, because they fully or partially have rating generated by "old system".

Thanks for noticing Alex. I do want to apologize to all for the delay. The ACF tournaments are now up to date, though some of the WCDF tournaments for 2015 and 2016 still need to be entered. I plan to work on those after nationals.

The ratings are still not perfect and I agree that there are some players on the "active" list who should not be. Unfortunately, I can not touch this list. I can only calculate ratings. Very soon however, we will be getting our own rating system (which is almost done already). It will be same formula, but will allow us to have more control and to possibly tweak a few things.

I will aim to get a more accurate ratings list in our October bulletin, consisting of ACF members only.

Joe, sorry - I forgot to say: thanks a lot for your service and tremendous amount of time. I also know - all of us are staying behind you with smoking guns and angry words and it's not easy to be polite with everyone.
