Lindus,

I haven't heard any recent updates, but I suspect we are still a few months away, at least. I understand Gerry Lopez and Jim Loy continue to work on it. I hope that it will be very much worth the wait, as there will be a ton of play, diagrams, annotations, and other features.

Conversation with Gerry Lopez

Post by Alan Millhone »

Hello everyone:

I had a call from Gerry last night and we discussed the 8th. Int. Book. Gerry indicates it is about 80 % completed and will be full of diagrams, bio's, photos, etc. I can tell he is working very hard on getting this book completed and completed in a first class manner. It will be another book to commerate and preserve for all time a very historic meeting of two teams. Gerry may send me a written report and if he does I will post immediately on this forum.

Mr. Alex knows first hand now what it takes to put together and publish a book:-)

Sincerely:
Alan Millhone, President

Thank you Richard and Alan for that information. I shall eagerly await the delivery of the book which, I am certain, will be a great one.

The 8th. INTERNATIONAL BOOK ------------

Post by Alan Millhone »

Here's a reply for Lindus Edwards and others in reference to the 8th. book.

Emailed to Alan Millhone from Gerry Lopez.

THE 8th. INTERNATIONAL BOOK

Hello Lindus, We're planning to have it ready some time this Summer. It should be one of the best International books ever with history, bios, very interesting games and analysis, lots of diagrams, etc. A team of the best players and analysts in the U.S. is annotating the games. Alex Moiseyev is included on that team. It's a book that will give great pleasure to all who study it and deserves to be in every player's library. Watch for the announcement when it is ready.

Hi Gerry,

I know you will forgive my impatience in wanting to see what will be a truly outstanding book. Your fine work is really appreciated.

8th International Book

Gerry just emailed me a day or two ago and said that most likely the book will be printed sometime in June. Hopefully, this fine masterpiece will be ready before the USA Nationals!
