"Alex's 10th Anniversary"

Post by Mr. Checkers »

Alex has come a long ways since his first visit to the Lawrence County Chess and Checker Club in New Castle, Pa. in 1996. And as I recall he also made his first visit to the Pa. State Checker Tournament that year (I may be wrong about this). In any case and with tens of thousands of miles of travel to checker tournaments under his belt he still commands our attention as "World Champion" and he has our admiration and respect. We hope to see all of you at this years upcoming Pa. State Checker Tournament in June. Ms. Becky

Hi, Ms. Becky !

My first visit to the New Castle Checkers Club was in the middle or end of July, 1996. PA State ty 1996 was in August in State College, and at that point I wasn't ready yet to play here. So - I didn't play and didn't visit it. Tony didn't want to push me and agreed with my decision. My first official ACF and ever draughts event was in September 1996 OH State ty, as correctly pointed in the fine Ohioan Yearbook.

Since then I played in tne 77 checkers events, matches and tournaments. The full list of events except the last one - TN Strawberry 2006 (book was submitted to printer prior this tournament started), can be found in the Appendix B in SIXTH (page 362).

Respectfully

Alex Moiseyev
I am playing checkers, not chess.
