GM William Docherty wins French Championship in Draughts 100

Post by Ingo_Zachos »

Grandmaster William Docherty is certainly one of the best players at our style in the World.

This week he surprisingly proved that he is also a talented player in Draughts 100.

With some of the best players absent, he took the chance to show that his much feared skills in visualisation enables him to win the title on "the Big Board" en passant.

It seems that Miki Borghetti is not the only player capable of winning national titles in mutiple draughts variants.

Congratulations

Greetings Ingo and checker playing community,

I only started practising 10x10 a year ago after a 20 year break, and even though results are encouraging I must admit that my level is low whether it be 10/10 or checkers. Time is short and as we all know it is difficult to get in the practice time we would like !!

Hopefully I will be able to make a checkers ty this year some time, but again I would be attending without any training, so it wouldbe tightrope walking without a net!!

Hugs to all

I finish with 13/18 points, second is Robin Paul 12/18 points and 3rd Philippe Lesnes on 11 points.

All information can be found on the FFJD website,

John, please tell me if you have found the books I'm looking for ; 1ere pas vers le titre vol.1 and 2 by Kouperman, translated into French by Guibert.
