Does anyone have a comprehensive list of openings and their names?
Something more than is listed here?

Thanks.
I was hoping that maybe somebody had already typed them up.

Re: Opening Names
This is a basic opening list typed by Jim Loy from Lees' Guide.

In fact he typed all the games in Lees' Guide and put it online, I don't know how he does it!

Here is the list from the 1909 "Vocabulary of Checkers" by William Call
Re: Opening Names
The list at the top of this thread is pretty good (the Minotaur is 12-16 21-17 9-14 24-19). My own WWW page is still not available, and will take some work to get it back up. See viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3834 for links to a couple of copies of Lees' Guide.

Re: Opening Names
My list is searchable, just type a word below the first column to find a name, or opening moves in the second column, the list will shrink to filter out the rest.
It is also sortable and groupable (try lifting the word Name up into the gray area)

Re: Opening Names
reading the 1993 irish uk match i learned there is a grand canyon attack and a bermuda triangle variation
10-14 23-19 11-15 xx 22-18
10-14 23-19 11-15 22-18 xxx 25-22 811 2419
do we do like chess and add names to aid in learning things? even to variations
