We are playing on villa Borghese and stay in Olympic Training Centre.
Address OC: Largo, Giulio, Onesti1, Roma (the zone is called "Acqua Acetosa")
Dates - April, 21-25. You want to help Italians and play for their team ? No problems, I am very confident - USA team can survive
Anyway, you are very welcome Billy! Come, stay and enjoy.

Re: USA vs Italy 3-moves International match.
Final adjustment to American team ...
At the end of February last minute Joe Schwartz came in and said that he wants to be on team! WOW/LOL At this time everyone already bought tickets and we had preliminary pairing schedule. However ... Joe was the highest scored American player in 2005 IM #8 against UK & Ireland. He won 10 games and drew 6! In addition, Joe was ranked by American players (we ran survey) higher than three other member of USA team. All this together leave me only one choice - welcome Joe and wish him good luck !
Here is final version of American star Win-Win Golden team
Kim Wills (Lady)
Alex Holmes (Youth)
Alex Moiseyev (captain)
Jim Morrison
Richard Beckwith
Clayton Nash
Ryan Pronk
Charles Freeman
Tim Laverty
Mark Sokolovsky
Joe Schwartz
Preliminary schedule:
K. Wills, A. Holmes, A. Moiseyev, J. Morrison - 7 rounds
C. Nash, R. Pronk - 6 rounds
R. Beckwith, C. Freeman, T. Laverty, M. Sokolovsky - 5 rounds
J. Schwartz - 4 rounds
As far as I know Italian team is still under construction. They also had withdrawals and still build team. The good news are that all three Italian grandmasters: S. Scarpetta, M. Borghetti and M. Bernini agreed to play and support Italy team.
All for now.

Hello, everyone !
USA team gets ready for travel We had tremendous support of our major sponsors and individual contributors.
However, our budget is very tie and we are still several hundred dollars behind our schedule and target. Any donation (any!) will be very welcome and highly wanted and appreciated.
You can do this directly via ACF Store to send your donation to International Match Fund.
Many thanks in advance to everyone who loves and support our old, fashion game!

Re: USA vs Italy 3-moves International match.
Finally ...
Today I've got email from Carlo Bordinin, FID official:
Alex here following the (Final I hope) list of Italian Player.
1) Viviana Moretto (woman)
2) Elia Cantatore (youth)
3) Sergio Scarpetta
4) Matteo Bernini
5) Claudio Ciampi
6) Cesare Flavoni
7) Emanuele D’Amore
8 ) Walter Celani
9) Roberto Cartella
10) Daniele Bertè
11) Luca Lacovelli
We have to define yet the rounds that each one could be called to play
Hope this helps. It is very pity that reigning GAYP World Champion and ex. 3-moves World Champion Michele Borghetti was unable to make it.
=============================================================================================================================
It is also very important to mention that we continue accepting donations! Even though we were able narrowly meet our financial goals, but there are still certain areas of expanses which can be covered and make US (and Italy btw) players life easier and happier

Re: USA vs Italy 3-moves International match.
Last news: we just receive an official confirmation that Ingo Zachos (Germany) will be Main Referee of event.
This is certainly great news! Ingo is very well experienced Referee and also experienced player which is absolutely necessary and important to perform Referee duties.
More news later.

Re: USA vs Italy 3-moves International match.
Hello, everyone!
Now it's probably final. Today I had received email from our ACF and Match treasury Richard Beckwith with financial report. Below is full complete budget of USA team. I want to thanks all and everyone who donated to this event and helped USA team to cover our expanses. This generous budget allowed us to pay in full for tickets of 10 players + cover hospitality and food for alternate players and guests. Unfortunately Joe Schwartz and his wife joined team at late moment, when most of our budget was scheduled, locked and spent. However even in this case more likely we'll be able to compensate them some expanses.
I want personally thanks Joe McDaniel and his family with large donation to match fund, which covers almost 50% of our expanses. Also many thanks to Joe LoConti - the second individual large contributor for his patriotic support of USA
team.
And again: thanks everyone who supported our team - financially and in spirit!!
Income:
Joe McDaniel ........... $3,000 + $1,000
Joe LoConti ............. $2,000
Gene Lindsay Fund .... $2,000
Alan Millhone ........... $713
Myron Samsin ........... $225
Charles Walker ......... $100
Ramon Dionisio ......... $50
George Hay ............. $25
Lloyd Gordon ........... $20
Total: ................... $9,133
