After I said I want to stop put my comments, several people asked me to continue … so be it!

====================================================================================================

Game12 is probably best game in match so far, excellent win.

Both players several times missed a win and draw - that's what cross aboard play is about. I really enjoyed this game.

I will post my comments with diagrams later.

Ok a little trivia, which I don’t know the answer to. When is the last time 10-15 has been played as a first move in a gayp title match?

I think Ron King played against J. Francis 10-15, 21-17, 15-18 and won game by red.

Game14.

M. Borghetti vs L. Kondlo, D1.…..… M. Borghetti vs L. Kondlo, D2

Red to move and draw ………………… White to move and win

On diagram #1 draw was available after 31-27 and 1-5, but 10-15? as played in game, loses

On diagram #2 the only winning move is 22-17* in order to meet 19-23 by 6-2* WW. After 7-3, 19-23, 22-17 red can drew it by 6-9 - similar to what happened in game with slight different order of moves.

Kondlo is the new GAYP Wolrd Champion. He defeated Borghetti by the score of 15 draws and 5 wins in his favour.

He did well since the first game and deserved this title. He came to the Checker Hall of Fame well-prepared and confident. He was never in a loss and missed a couple of wins.

His victory was not a suprise. He has been tried to get the title since 2008 when he lost the match against GM Ron King. Now his dream became true.

My great admiration for Borghetti that decided to defend his World Title, although his health conditions were not optimal. He tried to do his best until the last game. The whole checker world hopes to see him in good health and compete for the title again.

My Congratulations to Kondlo on his victory.

Kondlo won the twelfth game, but he was the first one who missed a win. In fact, he moved 3-8 at the 21th, but the win was 22-17! (It was found by Jim Loy).

Lubabalo clearly worked hard to be ready and deserves his well-earned title. Congratulations to him.

Michele, though, showed us all what it means to place sportsmanship and honor above winning and losing, by defending his title even though he was not in full health. He is in every respect a true champion.
