Dreaded Edinburgh

Hi all, I drew the 9-13 22-18 6-9 opening last week in one of my rounds (both WW) and tried the 1-6 defense after my opponent's 25-22. Fortman doesn't seem to discourage this. He just mentions that it's one of two sound options but doesn't follow up on it, probably because of all the possible attacks at White's disposal. He was obviously being brief in the first volume of BC.

There were no Masters' games on this opening in Branson. Does anyone know where I can find published lines on the options after 1-6? Or is it better to just avoid this entirely? It obviously didn't work out well for me this time. Thanks.

Play 11-15 instead 1-6 and you'll be OK

In pre-computer era it was quite challenging to cover properly all sound moves.

Thanks, Alex. That makes sense. If I'm going to get punched, be prepared for one of the two places I'll probably get hit after 11-15 instead of opening myself up to pretty much anything.
