ACF Forum -------- new registration requirements
Hello Forum Members:
Remember in the beginning of the creation of this forum I told all of you it would be run diffrently, etc. ?
For some time now I have had to eliminate on a daily basis new members who insist on adding a porno site, etc. that has NOTHING to do with our game. Also, I am the one who has to go into the site and eliminate those posters. It has become a tiresome bother and a couple of days ago I asked our webmaster, Mr. Jason Solon if this could be changed? So beginning NOW I receive an email from him with each new person requesting membership for me to individually approve. Let me give you an example of the recent three I will not approve:
1. draffts
2. Razgillday
3. 0652
From now on if you want to join you should use your REAL name and show an interest in our game. If really interested you can send me a private email at: millhone@wirefire.com telling me your name and that you have requested membership. The porn posters, etc. can find space for their wares elsewhere, not on the ACF site anymore!! The ACF Forum is for serious Checker/Draught business and nothing more. This new method is my decision only and the members would not have known if I had not said so just now on here. I believe everything done should be honest and 'above board' for the forum members and ACF Members. Some members may not approve of my actions in this matter, I apologize if you don't approve.
Sincerely:
Alan Millhone, President

Reply to Patrick:-)
Hello Patrick:
The way the forum is set up now the webmaster sends me a notification for every person wanting to join the forum. If you use a code like 0652, etc. you can forget about joining. ALL of the members I have deleted of late have a .ru at the end of their email address. I see all of this information when I get into the web site management. I feel the forum was being 'flooded' by posters and later on they would add their porn web sites, etc.
So............... If you deisre to join from now on.................. email me first and use your real name and express your interest in Checkers/Draughts or forget about becoming a member. If a person has no hidden motives for joining then they will have no objection to using their real name, etc. Looks like the days of the anon. poster is now history.

I know this boy from kurnok. It will be pity to lose him on forum. Alan - what are requirements to nick ? If "0652" is prohibited, is "shr" nickname OK, or I should change it ?
What are criterias for nickname ?
Regards,
Alex

Reply to Mr. Alex
Hello Mr. Alex:
It is not my intention to keep anyone off the forum (other than the 'smut' posters). Everyone knows who you are Mr. Alex, regardless what name you use, and that is not the issue. You would not believe the names I have eliminated that had porno, etc. attached and I have had enough of it. All anyone has to do to register is send me an email with their full name and their interest in our game and they will be approved. Their real name will not be revealed to anyone, but it has to be done this way to maintain civility. I guess what I am doing falls under a type of censorship, but it had to be done and a few will disagree. I warned of this possibly occuring at the beginning of the forum. My intention is to keep the forum clean and fun and informative for everyone.

This is true. People know who I am because of my post and unique English style

I don't see a much difference in "shr" or "0652" nicknames. Both are good and respectable, both nicknames are not offensive or include dirty abbreviations.
SHR stands for "SHashki in Russia" - the title of another Russian checkers website, where I have nickname - alemo.
I saw occasiounly those porno posts here and then deleted them, usually in 10-15 minutes. You and Jason do a good job keeping forum in good standings, and I appreciate this.
Yours sincerely,
Alex

I can't take much credit. If i see some i remove them, but Alan does much more than me. I've stayed pretty much in the background as of late.
Hats off to Alan for keeping this forum clean.

Hello to our webmaster
Hello Jason:
You do much from the background and I for one appreciate having you as our webmaster:-) It is thru your expertise that now allows me to 100% screen anyone wanting to be a forum member. It is that 'team work' that makes the ACF work and improve.
