Although a terrible tornado ripped through middle Tennessee we will still have our Tennessee Open Checker Tournament as scheduled, March 6-8, 2020. This annual event is usually the largest in number and prize purse with exception to our National (August 31 - September 3)

This is the indomitable American spirit as exhibited through a great set of Americans --- our checker players. There is symbolic meaning beyond the checker tournament itself: we can get through anything. Nothing will get us down.

I just received my April ACF Bulletin and thought I would see the TN results in it. I also thought that would be great if you could post some games too in the Bulletin. I had two draws with Alex Moiseyev and Alex Holmes won a game and drew a game against Moiseyev.

There is a small correction I need to post. Alex Holmes and Moiseyev played their last round and had two more draws. So, the score between them for this tournament was 3 draws and a win for Alex Holmes.

- What do you like about checkers?: Hi, checkers is a technical strategy game much like chess with a never ending way to improve your game. I have played both American pool and straights checkers as well as a little 10x10 and they are all great games.
