At first glance it might seam out of place to title a topic Let's Play Checkers in the Broken Boards category. But this is my thoughts on radio host Mark Levin, who I actually admire, promoting his latest book. Mark recently stated on his radio show "Let's not play checkers." While not as bad as Michael Savage's ignorant rant constantly repeating "this is chess, not checkers" on the radio, it is disappointing Mark Levin would make such a statement....Let's Play Checkers, I'm with Tom Wiswell and Ken Grover on this one....Even in the Geopolitical sphere, have you ever noticed that Great Britain and later the USA were at the pinnacle of their power when draughts/checkers was played with great skill in those countries? Have you ever noticed that the great age of invention and industry coincided with the popularity of draughts/checkers in the general population? Checkers is a game of pure logic, a great way for kids of all ages to develop the mind, and have fun doing it!
