ACF election 2025 - Kim Willis

_______________________________________________

The ACF has an election coming up the end of 2024 so I would like to take this time to say I will be on the ballot for the position of ACF President.
I would like to introduce myself for those who do not know me.
My name is Kimberly Willis, I am 67 yrs old and live in missouri.I have been involved in the Checker Community since 1999. I have played in many tournaments and traveled with the US Team. I have been a voice for many players around the world giving information on our upcoming tournaments. As for the last 2 yrs i stepped back from tournament play and helping others, But I have seen that the acf is declining in memberships'
No one is helping those who need information on World Qualifiers, Acf Nationals or other info they need.
So I will not make promises that I cannot keep but will put forward a lot of time being available for players.
I have also seen that the ACF website needs help which this was to be done but never has changed. No updates and we need to get this site renewed so we can have customers and players welcome to it.
My main concern is
1). Getting more memberships.
2). Getting information to All players.
3). Getting the ACF website updated. (even if it means I do it)
4). We need a change and I hope you all give me a chance.

I know Kim many, many years - since ACF GAYP National in Niagara Falls 1999, 25 years, quarter of century. All this time Kim was always there around - as player, as friend, as active member of federation, as referee … and many other “as” 😀 and roles. She always tried to help people by all ways she can.

She is very realistic person and never gave promises she can’t accomplish.

Every time I hear “Kim”, I am thinking of ACF, every time I hear “ACF” - I am thinking of Kim!

She knows and understand people, she knows and understand process.

I will vote for Kim this time. Victor got his chance two years ago and used it, let’s give now chance to Kim.

Yours,
ALEMO

“ Good day Everyone,

Many of you now have your bulletins with your ballot and I wanted to let you all know whats been on my mind.

1). We have many players from all over the world playing our game and most cannot afford the memberships. But I think that if we can help them in getting a membership by paying half then half later or by paying for an associate membership they would get a e-bulletin only. I would like feed back on how we can help to get new members.

2). The decline of attendance at state and Nationals.

3). What you all want in the update of the ACF website. For we need to work on this.

4). More comminication to players on tournament information and anything else needed,

These are just a few things on my mind for I will be available to everyone.

I have been working on getting sponsorship. I have sent many emails out. As you all know more doors will be closed before we get someone to listen. But we still have to work on this.

I am open for suggestions and comments. We all have to work together to make the ACF better.
