Hello Checker and Draughts Players:

Tonight I received a nice email from Mr. William Docherty (2000 British Ty. Champion and 4th. place in 2002. Played as challenger to Mr. Alex Moiseyev in 2001 at Morcombe and lost narrowly at 5-4 and 11 draws.

He is now living in Paris, France and wanted me to inform everyone where he was and if ever over his way to drop by for a few games:-)

Hey Alan, i hope your backs getting better. I was going through some old NZ draught reviews the other day and i came across a game by W Docherty, but it was in 1953,but i think he was from scotland,im still trying to find it,and maybe it was a relative (father) of this w docherty

Sorry to hear you are still suffering alan, hope it all comes right soon. I found the game in NZ Draught Review, nov 1956.W.Docherty v J Gilliland, which was played in a league match between St Pauls and Willowfield,Belfast.
