Der Freund des Damspiels

Post by whitefork »

The Checker Player's Friend by Jean Dufresne, published in the late 1800s, first English translation as far as I know.
Sections on English, international, pool and losing pool, checkers, 133 pages.
$22 postpaid in the US. $25 overseas.
PM me if you're interested.
Ms. Becky and Dennis Pawlek should be getting a copy soon. Dennis supplied a copy of the German original because he's a trusting soul and a nice guy. It's taken me a few years to translate it because I procrastinate.

(edited to fix the speeling of Freund in the subject line. (Typos are a great inducement aren't they?)
