"Vegetarian Checkers"--"Pictures"--ans.

Post by Mr. Checkers »

In 1956 Dell Comic Books featured these two world famous cartoon characters on the cover of one of their comics. The picture shows them preparing their vegetarian checkers to do battle across the checkerboard. "Checker Trivia questions of the Day"? Who were these two very famous cartoon characters (that all of us dearly love and have grown up with)? And the vegetarian checkers were made of delicious and nutritious sliced______and______? (Cont.)

I also thought of Mutt and Jeff, but can remember if they were comic strip only.

Steve Bugs Bunny is everyones all time favorite cartton character and that gives us the answer to 1/2 of our question. So lets cartoonize and see if we can't come up with Bug's buddy. (Cont.)

Daffy Duck is one of my all time favorite cartoon characters. Just watching his many changes of expression would make one laugh. But unforunately you will have to give it another try. (Cont.)

Excellent answer Ryan--you are 100% correct. Now we need to know what the dietary morsels the checkers were made of? (Cont.)
