I talked with Brian Hinkle on Monday. He is currently offering $100 for a correct solution for his Bear Claw problem. Contest may end within the next few weeks. See article and position in April ACF bulletin (#302), p. 6 or article on Bob Newell

Brian Hinkle also welcomes (and encourages) multiple people pooling their thoughts together and splitting the prize. Contest is still alive, but deadline is approaching.

Ultimately this is Brian's call, as he has granted extensions before, but if I had to guess, I would say end of the month.
