ALL IRELAND OPEN 2007
[u:eda72f264d][b:eda72f264d]GREAT NEWS[/b:eda72f264d][/u:eda72f264d]
At the AGM of the Irish Draughts Association (held during the Irish 2006 Open this week) the Inishowen Draughts Association put in a bid to hold the Irish open for 2007, which was accepted. As part of the 2007 Tourney, they propose holding the Womens 3 Move World Championship Match between Patricia Breen and Amangul Durdyeva and also a non-title exhibition match between the men’s World Champion, Alex Moiseyev, and Irish Match Champion Hugh Devlin.
The tournament will be held in Buncrana, County Donegal at the end of October 2007. Buncrana is situated on the west of the very scenic Inishowen Peninsula, in County Donegal, with spectacular panoramic views of Lough Swilly. The name Buncrana, (or Bun Cranncha in Irish), translates to the 'bottom of the Crana', the river adjacent to the town.
One of its delights is the walk under beech, maple and lime trees beside the brown waters of the River Crana. The Crana River is an excellent Salmon River and it adorns Swan Park, a haven of peace for the stroller.
So come on, all you Irish Americans, and visit the Old Country for what promises to be a truly spectacular event. You could look up your family ancestors, as Presidents Kennedy and Reagen did, as well as having a fabulous holiday in the Emerald Isle.

Alex I got a question for you.
Would you give Hugh a free titel shoot if he would beat you in this match?
Just if Hugh would be interested of course.
Just the all of us together can improve checkers!

Hi, Dennis !

Hugh can challenge me for the title independently anytime he wants and I will accept his challenge if purse is enough and WCDF approves our match..

In Ireland 2007 - our match will be promotional event, part of festival, although in the evening hours during Irish Open. In addition I may have some other exhibition activities.

This has nothing to do with title.

However I am eager to play this match and it is expected to be very interesting and attractive.I only had chance to play with Hugh 4 games in the 7th International 2001 and British Open 2002 and all games were draws.
