Kim, Barbados has two Federations - members of WCDF: BCDF (Barbados Checkers and Draughts Federation) and BDA (Barbados Draughts Association).

Each of them can send two players for each event.

If I am not mistaken - North Ireland Draughts Federation also has a separate membership in WCDF.

Why is Kim Willis in charge of such an event?

Kim Wills is running for position of ACF Secretary in the coming elections (I have very small doubts about her victory). ACF is a hoster of event next year ... thats why Kim is in charge.

I hope I answered on your very kind question.

Personally - I am very appreciate her work and efforts. I think our (ACF) bid will be higher next year (2007) than ones we had in 2004, Barbados / 2005, Prague / 2006, Stonehaven

Thanks, Kim ! :occasion5:

Sincerely,

Dear mday,

Alan Millhone, John Reade, and myself (and others, such as Gerry Lopez) have been working with Kim for some time, so she is not having to act alone. I am grateful for Kim for voluntarily taking an active lead in the preparations for the 2007 WQT.

Question for mday

Post by Alan Millhone »

Hello mday:

Do you have a problem with Kim because she is a Woman? I am not going into a diatribe on her qualifications (which are numerous). Kim is very active in the ACF and I appreciate her efforts and all her help.

I personally asked Kim to run in our next ACF election for ACF Secretary.

On another note I might ask what have you done for the ACF or Checkers lately ?

Sincerely:
Alan Millhone, President

 Very well said Alan. In the feline world that is called "food for thought". Kim is doing a splendid job, so lets give credit where credit is due and be of help to her in keeping things moving in a positive direction. "Inky"
