An Advantage to Being the "King" at the ICHF?
This is just one of those special "perks" that one receives as a result of being the "World Champion". "Checker Trivia" question of the Day"? What advantage would that be? "Merry Christmas" "Inky" (Cont.)

Ron King and the ICHF " King " Room
Hello Ms. Becky:
Our GAYP World Champion, Mr. Ron King enjoyed the spacious and private " King " room at the ICHF during his match for the World's Title Vs. Mr. James Morrison last week
Dr. Tinsley always stayed in the " King " room when he visited or played at the Hall of Fame. The ICHF is unique to all of American in that it has had many tournaments and matches held there, houses numerous checker items and a large library of checker books.
Rest assured that Mr. Morrison and I had very nice rooms during our week in Petal as well.

I appreciate ICHF and all the checker display, motif and memorabilia displayed there. It's a checker shrine and the crown jewel of checkerdom.
Now what makes the spacious and private “King” room so very special? Could it be an ornate VIP, spacious private bath, matching towels and bath robe? Breakfast in bed, a private Jacuzzi designed as a checker piece? King size bed, chairs, furniture fit for a King?
Maybe Alan could elaborate on this checker trivia concerning those special perks of “King” room.

I went up one morning to tell Ron that breakfast was being served. Guess he could have had his served while he was in bed, but he elected to join Jim and me each maorning in Mrs. Walker's kitchen. The " King " room is very large with a oversized bathroom and all the ammenities befitting a King ! The ICHF consists of 30,000 S.F. of living, playing, library and museum space ! Any of you who ever get the opportunity should see what a man's dream became with the Hall of Fame in Petal, Ms.
