What is correct statement ?

Post by Alex_Moiseyev »

I am compilnng now all my games which I played since 1996. As of today in total it should be 1300-1400 games. While looking a little bit at these games, one question came to my head:

What would be correct statement - "sometimes people make mistakes" or "sometimes people don't make mistakes" ?

The first statement "sometimes people make mistakes" may be better, depending on what you are trying to say .... as it says people are right most of the time with an occasional mistake (probably true for your average opponent!).

The second statement implies people are usually in error and only occasionally do the right thing.

Ohhh, guys !!! :D  :P

It was a kind of joke on my part. However Richard remark shows that my understanding the difference was correct. And after reviewing most of my games I can say: "Sometimes I don't make mistakes, but this doesn't happen very often !"

Happy New Year, Rich and Patrick, everyone who reads this, everyone who is hidden but still read and all their family members !
