Airport Shuttles,etc.

Post by Alan Millhone »

Hello Patrick:

You can get a shuttle (small bus) that will carry your luggage and yourself from the airport to your hotel for about $10..00 (one way) and you can also book a return ride when you buy your ticket. The shuttles are just outside the airport terminal and run all the time. You cannot miss them as they are lined up all the time just outside from where you get your baggage. When leaving your hotel for a return flight your ticket will have a number for you to call 24 hours in advance of your departure. You simply call the number to verify your return ride. Any taxi will also take you for about $20.00 one way. There are tons of taxi's in Vegas but a bit more expensive. Also there is a tram that runs from hotel to hotel that you can take to sight see for about $2.50 . If you are downtown you can take the elevated monorail that begins at the MGM Grand and runs to different hotels and ends at the Sahara for about $8.00. Word is they hope someday to have the monorail run from some of the hotels to the airport. I hope my reply answers most of your questions.

good stuff to know....i would arrive dazed and confused ...much the same way ill leave

i thought of a flaw in adding it to the initial entry fee
how many people would it take to cover playing room expenses?
what if x number of people didnt show up to cover it?
back up plan would be take it out of prize money?

Hello Patrick:

The ACF has a couple of special people who donate every National Tournament funds that can be used as the Executive Committee wants.

I am hoping we have enough entrants to cover everything, but you always have to have a back up plan in place ,which we will.

You just come and play and your ACF Officers will handle the rest .

In orther words all you have to worry about is winning your rounds and leave all the worries to others. We hope to have a very nice turn out and will run ads on our ACF Web Site, in our ACF Bulletin, ads in overseas Draughts publications and I plan on running an ad on GOOGLE at some point this year.

Looking forward to seeing you and many others this Summer at the Plaza Hotel for our Nationals. The Plaza has tennis courts and a pool .
