Yet to the moment, after several hours, I have 6 offers for proposed book. When we hit 20 takers, it will be a "point of no return" which means - deal is done and we'll start asking people to send checks to Kim.

If number of takers will be lower - it will be a good sign which indicates - how popular is our old lovely game :D

Kim, we are getting close to $300 :hiding:

However, we have to reserve some money for book itself - priniting / bounding / mailing.

You have to prepare a medium size box to keep cash :D

surely you would need a certain amount of orders to be viable, after the printing and the binding of books, not to mention the time taken to write it.What is needed are more checker sugar-daddys, or funding from some good reputable companies

As yet no answer on that round robin question. But i have a tale to tell at my first experience in coming to Vegas to play in the American national.Im so pleased kim is organizing a shuttle bus for us this time, because i had such a bad experience with a shuttle when i arrived last time
.It was very hot when i arrived in vegas and there were queues of people waiting for shuttle buses to their respective hotels. In my queue there were a lot of elderly people standing in the heat, and we waited for an hour before a large bus arrived. We were all very relieved to get out of the hot sun.
Just as we were mounting the steps a young lady in a wheelchair, who had been waiting with us,yelled out to the bus driver that he couldnt take us ,as she had priority with her wheelchair. The bus driver ordered the people who had so far climbed into the bus off,and the young lady with her friend(and wheelchair) got on.
According to the busdriver,he could not take any more passengers with her and her wheelchair in the bus,and because she was a paraplegic she had her rights, and with that the bus left.I was dumbfounded, and thought of the elderly, tired hot people waiting, and wondered where their rights were, and really who had priority,a young healthy paraplegic,or the elderly.
Sick of waiting for a ride i took a taxi to Four Queens, but ive often thought of that incident.

Jan,

Sorry you got no answer on format. As you already said, it will probably depend on the numbers and what makes most sense with the number of rounds to get in. Options could be round-robin, double round-robin, or round-robin plus one round of Swiss, etc.

Sorry to hear of the shuttle bus problem you had. In my 3 Vegas trips, I only had small waits with the airport-to-hotel shuttles.
