"At My Friend Alex's Request"

Post by Mr. Checkers »

 Today we had the privileged to visit with our close and dear friend Alex Moiseyev. During our conversation we talked briefly about "Inky's" "Meows". I promised him that I would do my best to reduce the number of them that he was experiencing on this forum. So I had a member of our staff visit the local pet store where they purchased a lovely blue muzzle for "Inky", which really does not bring out his best side for he is a very handsome cat to say the least. Therefore in the future you should be experiencing less "Meows" from "Inky" on this forum, but please keep in mind that "Inky" has a twin brother--"Sylvester" and a cousin "Fluff" who also reside here. So if the next "Meows" that you hear sound like "Inky' then please try to be understanding for they are not. "Sylvestor" is even more outspoken than "Inky", especially when he wants to be fed. Please have a most wonderful day. "Inky"

cats

Thats fine Don,but your obsession with cats is taking over this forum, and boring everyone silly with it.Can we just stick to checkers as it used to be?with no more namecalling and personality clashes and cats mieowing between each altercation. It does look silly to the outsider who must wonder what checkers is all about.

This is a true fact. We spoke over the phone and I tried to explain - how insultive are all these Meow's for me. I decided to use a cat avatar - maybe it will help me successfully to pass a hard time  and stay strong as other Americans do.

Talking seriously - I will be leaving this forum forever if I see one more time "Meow" from anyone on this forum. But before doing this I will erase all my posts and not only in this Category of forum. I promise.

One ACF member told me recently that he started to hate cats !

Impact

Post by Alex_Moiseyev »

Couple months ago I posted information about Qualify Ty's this year in Las Vegas on Russian Checkers site hoping for miracles - if someone personally or Federations would be interested.

Many hundred people, Russian / Brazilian / 10x10 players, from more than 30 countries visit this site every day.

In my post I also included link to ACF website where people can get details.

Well ... unfortunately most Russian people can read English and they also reviewed this forum and asked me about Meow's - what does it mean. I said that this is a "cat sound" and these posts belong to respectable member of checkers fraternity and checkers book dealer and collector.

After my explanation the conversation was over and they lost an interest to subject. You can only imagine how happy I was with this fact

What do you like about checkers?: I love strategy games and checkers fits the bill for a great strategy game, that requires logic and problem solving skills.

from everything I have read over the last few months, it sounds like you have just described yourself with that post, not Lindus...
