the wales corp. printed 20,000(?) copies of a checker tabloid-i received one -i believe it was 4 pages

:lol: That is close enough Steve. George Wales published an 8 page tabloid (20,000 copies) which contained articles about the upcoming Paxton Checker Tournament, advertsing from different checker book dealers and friends of checkers, plus many other interesting checker articles. The tabloid sold for 25 cents or more if you cared to donate larger sums. Half of the money raised (after publication expenses) was to be donated to the ACF for the 17th American Tournament. :lol: Mr. Checkers
