I already proposed that to Mr. Checkers /Ms. Becky, as there is a new item every day, and the forum gets flooded by books and other items, and other important information get marginalized.

Checker/Draughts Books

Post by Alan Millhone »

Hello Everyone:

I have asked our Webmaster if he can make a new category for Checker/Druaghts books ONLY.

I can see disagreements once more surfacing here on the forum on the possibility that too many postings on books that tend to 'push down' other postings. I hope this is not the case.

If this new 'topic' is added, rest assured if any postings on books appears under other topics they will be deleted.

Sincerely:

Thats sound like good management strategy Alan, well done.
Theres nothing like a good sensible approach to such things and to be honest i would welcome that outcome.!!

A "MARKET PLACE" button would be a good idea but I don't think it should be limited to checkers/draughts books only, there are other things players may want to list for sale. I do think it should be limited to Checkers/draughts related items.

Regards, "Pal" Bucker

PS

Mr. Checkers has only been listing checkers/draughts books here that he has seen for sale on e-Bay as a service to forum readers, he gains nothing out of this for himself.

The one-hundred or so registered members of our forum may have all of the books they desire but let's remember there are guests to the forum reading the posts here and they may be novice players in want of books to help them advance in the play of their games.

If it is not in the "mission statement" of the ACF to encourage those who are new to the game, it should be!
