Re: English Open
Just arrived home after English Open. I think I finished 3rd on 24 points but I might have been 4th. Had to go home on the Friday as I was very ill. Should never have played in my condition but did so to make up the numbers. Tom Watson was the only player to beat me however so pleased enough with that. Thanks to all for their kind words. I shall return

Well done Lindus, to come 3rd in that field was an excellent result. Congratulations also to John Morgan on winning the "B Section".

Re: English Open
Thank you Liam. 3rd place behind such great players as Jimmy Grant and Tom Watson is not at all bad. Considering my poor state of health and the fact that I am taking a cocktail of pills to stay alive I think I did all right. If you had played you definitely would have been in the the top three as you are never out of that position in tournaments. Hope you can make it to the Welsh Open as I would be delighted to see you win it.
Well done to Jimmy Grant on winning this year's English Open. A great player and and even greater person. I am so pleased for you Jim.

Re: English Open
It was very remiss of me not to offer my congratulations to John Morgan on winning the intermediate section of the English Open. This event attracted many good players, including Ken Lovell, Joan Caws and a number of others. Well done John.

Hi Mr Smith,
A couple of errors with the results given in that link. Joan Caws did not play in the "A" section. Frank Bednall finished on 14 points in the "A" section but his name is not shown. Many thanks however for providing the link.

OK Lindus, I inserted Frank Bednall where Joan Caws was and left the Points and Honor Points unchanged. If something else is wrong let me know.
I sent you a pm so you can make corrections and send it back.
