Now, when 3-moves World Champoionship Match on Barbados is set, we can return back to details and schedule of my Ireland Exhibition Tour in fall this year. This Tour is sponsored by InishOwen Draughts Club and they pay all my expanses.
This Tour will be a part of a big Checkers Festival, which also include two more (at least) major events:
1) Irish Open 2007;
2) Woman 3-move World Championship match between reigning World Champion Patricia Breen, Ireland and Challenger - Amangul Durdyeva from Turkmenistan.
My Exhibition Tour will include three major events:
1) Practice Match with Hugh Devlin (preliminary proposed 6 games)
2) Practice Match with Shane McCosker (preliminary proposed 6 games)
3) Simultenious play on 400+ boards in attempt to beat Ron King Guinesses Book record 385.
Preliminary we planned only my match with Hugh Devlin with 8 games. However, I was so impressed Shane performance in Las Vegas, Youth ty and Master Division - so I proposed to organisers adjust our schedule and find an opportunity to add my match with Shane on agenda.
This is still subject to be determined and details need to work out.
It is very possible that this might be my last chance to defeat Shane
(or maybe it's already late ?) and I don't want to miss such opportunity ! Seriously talking - I think this match will be very interesting and beneficciary for both of us.Unfortunately such compress, "crazy"
schedule doesn't allow me again to participate in Irish Open. Hence, sooner or later I'll be there !Ohh ... I forgot to say - simultenious play will be on Holloween Day, October 31 !
